What to ExpectWe think it's important that you know what to expect from our design team before you make a commitment to work with us. With Kendall Horton, we promise to work closely with you and ensure that the finished product is as close to your initial vision as possible. Our base package ensures that all of our township websites include a core set of features that can help ensure a lasting impression on your community. We'll outline some of those features here, but we ask you to keep in mind that this is only a foundation to work off of. Every website we design is different and engages it's audience in new and exciting ways. Clean, modern design:
We want your website to look good. The success of our business depends on it, and your community will be delighted to visit a locally driven site that is visually stunning and easy to navigate. There are too many small government websites on the internet today that are cluttered and difficult to get around. We promise that we will use the highest quality in design standards to keep your visitors coming back time and time again.
Rich Content:
At the bare minimum, your website should have several pages describing individual township departments, a page full of local contact information, a way for local residents to read about recent news and upcoming events, and pages full of additional resources, links and more to keep people informed about what's going on in their community.
Interactivity:
Our customizable plugin set that comes with the core site includes a fully featured calendar that residents can use to keep track of upcoming events. This calendar can be easily navigated so people can find what they're looking for. Events can include description text, contact information and even a link to a specific event page, whether it's on the township website, or somewhere else. We also include a state of the art image gallerythat features multiple image sets, visual effects, and more. Both of these core featurs are easy to maintain from the backend of the site, and look and feel great to the front end user. We have examples of both the calendar and gallery running on this site so you can see what we're talking about.
Extendability:
Other plugins can include things like local news and weather, community message boards, and more. There are presently almost 5,000 different extensions available for the software used in our township sites. Handling growing pains on the content side of the site is easy too. Adding menus, new pages and updating old articles is as easy as writing an email, and it's all handled right in the web browser.
